Painting my favorite desk with DIY clay based paint

Painted this desk with Debi's Design Diary DIY paint in the color "Hey Sailor". I waxed it with paste wax from Home Depot. So very happy with the results! I practiced an aging technique with an old credit card on this piece and although I LOOOOVE the effect, I did not use it on the entire desk, just the backside. Subscribe to my channel to see what I do use that technique on. Tour our Garden - Peppermint Carpet - Yellow Finch birds are crazy!! - LOVE Purple Iris Flowers

We are having so much fun learning all the new flowers and plants at this new place. The folks that lived here before us sure loved the yard and it shows. I have been hesitant to cut anything back while waiting to see if its gonna be something when it grows up. The dirt in the flower beds is dark black. Black Gold!!! We are hoping all of the veggies grow... We've planted tomatoes, lots of different hot chili peppers, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, green beans, lettuce, radishes, eggplant, and a bunch of herbs. Keep your fingers crossed we have a bumper crop this year!! Happy Spring! If you'd like to see a very late winter video of this place... before anything began to pop, check out this video https://youtu.be/rZLanHqHRJY #GardenTour #CrazyYellowFinch #LovePurpleIris

Book Box Makeover - Treasure Box - Feels like Steampunk Industrial

This old wine box needed a facelift. Using broken pieces of jewelry, some Mardi Gras beads, and some DIY paint from Debi's Design Diary I made it over into something worthy of storing so many different treasures. From childhood bits and baubles to extra craft supplies and even bullets. This box feels very steampunk to me and would look killer sitting on a shelf or coffee table. #DIYpaint #Steampunk #Industrial

"The Perfect Storm" Jewelry Box Makeover

This jewelry box came to me many years ago and I have always wanted to paint it. HERE is the paint job. It is fondly named "The Perfect Storm" because of the color and the storm it/I went through to be this beauty. I learned a whole lot about painting with Debi's Design Diary Paint. It's very pigmented so it's rich in color. Water is your friend. Water thins it and helps it to blend better. The colors I used here are "Farm Fresh", "Hey Sailor", "Bohemian Blue", and "Mermaid Tale". I can hardly wait for the next piece to bring to life!

Quarantine Quesadillas - Spicy Pork Sausage w/Chicken - Green Peppers & Onion Baked in the Oven

Our local Denny's makes a dinner of this. I tried to copy theirs since we both love it so much. Essentially it's enough peppers and onions, chicken and spicy sausage to fill as many quesadillas as you will need for your family. This video shows enough for 6 quesadillas. My husband eats 3 or 4 and I eat 1. Add your choice of cheese and condiments like sour cream, salsa, guacamole. This meal is fast if your meat is already cooked. Usually, we grill a bag of chicken each week so it's simple to throw something together, and this is super easy. I put the skins in the oven just long enough to toast them up. Broil about 1 min until as crispy as you prefer. Remove immediately. Flip them over and then decorate with mixture, add top skin and slide in the preheated oven to melt cheese. After browned, remove from oven and slice with a pizza cutter. Enjoy!!
