Homemade Cheesy Ham & Vegetable Soup with Velveeta - Comfort food deluxe on a snowy day

This comfort food soup is easy to whip up if you have Velveeta cheese. You can add ham as the video shows, but I have added bacon instead and it was dynamite! No meat works too. The vegetables also can be made to suit. Use more or less of whatever you have on hand or love. I normally serve it with a sandwich to help my hubby feel more full because he does not believe soup can be a meal on its own. This soup is what cravings are made of. If you try it, please let me know in the comments below. Thanks for watching! K

Thrifted Thoughts and Thwarted Thrifts - Paint sure goes a loooong way for a teeny tiny budget

3 Upcycles and a couple mid-century show off items because one of my projects thwarted me!! See how I take a tuscan metal vase thing and turn it into something much more modern. Also, I paint a few wooden utensils to go with an EAT sign I made years ago. So happy to have you, come right in!!

Chalk Painted Tiny Side Table with homemade chalk paint, Waxed with Dixie Belle "Grunge"

I picked up this itty bitty side table for just a couple of dollars at a thrift store. Used Agreeable Gray latex flat paint and made my DIY chalk paint. I added some small details and then waxed it with Dixie Belle Gray Grunge Wax. This table is actually perfect for tucking into any corner, or as you see here, next to a side chair.

Homemade Caramel Coffee Milkshake ☕️🍦πŸ₯€ Ice cream, Milk, Instant Coffee, Caramel or Chocolate Syrup

Fortunate to have found this vintage milkshake machine at a thrift shop. These are a special treat in our house. I also make them with fresh fruit or even cookie crumbles. Hubby likes Heath bars smashed and put in his. Anything you like in a milkshake can be done. If you do not have a milkshake machine, use a blender.

Homemade DIY Chalk Paint - Any color - Any Brand of Paint - Save $$ - No sanding

3 parts flat paint + 1 part Plaster-of-Paris and water = Homemade chalk paint! You can paint almost anything with this paint. It will have a chalky feel so you have to apply some sort of protective finish. I use SC Johnson Paste wax. You have to distress BEFORE applying a finish of wax, or poly. This can be made with any color or brand of flat latex paint. Make sure your item is clean and free of dust. No need to sand before as chalk paint is self-leveling and forms a protective hard layer. Comment below if you plan to try my recipe.
