New life for this worn down coffee table Chalk Painted

This poor table.  I really thought it was made of wood, but nope.
This table is a resin product that resembles wood.
No matter...
I mixed my own chalk paint and away I went.
Chalk paint adheres to anything.
It does have to be waxed, do not forget the waxing bit...Your paint will wear off.

After visiting Walmart's Ooops paint selections, I decided on this creamy aqua blue.
It is a pretty blue, but not the blue I was seeing in my mind.  My blue was darker, and more grey.
That is easy to fix.  Add black.  My daughter has every color of acrylic paint known to man.

Not the blue I was hoping for
So I painted the darker color and and got nervous and wiped it off.
WOW!  What a cool technique that made.  Almost a wood grain look.  Works for me, I'll do the whole thing that way!

This was a fun project.  I've been lugging this table around for about a year now.  It was always cool to have it in the living room 'cause you couldn't hurt it.  Put your drink on it, or your feet.  The poor thing had already seen its pretty days.
Now, though... <swoons>  I looove it!
